Office of Civil Rights Title IX & Sexual Violence

Western’s Survivor Advocacy Services is a great resource for students wishing to talk confidentially about experiences with violence or abuse, relationship violence, stalking, sexual violence, or sexual harassment. Survivor Advocacy Services supports students in healing from experiences with violence, whether those experienced happened during one’s time at Western or before one became a Western student. Survivor Advocacy Services is for any Western student, whether or not a student identifies as a survivor. They affirm people of all identities and lived experiences.

The NW Network of Bi, Trans, Lesbian and Gay Survivors of Abuse is another confidential resource.

The Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance receives reports and investigates complaints of sexual violence, including sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking. Their website includes information about these services and resources for survivors.  Survivor Advocacy Services can support students in making reports to the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance.
