There are currently at least 59 gender neutral restrooms located in 26 campus buildings. This handout lists the locations of gender neutral restrooms. The interactive campus map contains a filter for gender neutral restrooms. A printable gender neutral restroom map is also available.
Academic building directories list the locations of gender neutral restrooms in the building, or the location of the nearest gender neutral restroom if there is not one in the building. Educational signs outside newly converted gender neutral restrooms help educate the campus community about the importance of these facilities.
Most recently, a gender-neutral restroom was created in the new Disability Access Center space in the Library and four gender-neutral restrooms are included in the new Multicultural Center in the Viking Union.
During winter break 2018-19, a gender neutral restroom was created on the fourth floor of Miller Hall. As of September 2018, a gender neutral restroom is located in Wilson Library 182 and is available all hours the Library is open. What was previously the family locker room in the Recreation Center is now a gender neutral locker room. Additionally, gender neutral restrooms were recently created in Mathes, Nash, and Birnam Wood Commons, and are available to people with access to those buildings.
