Generations of Pride Coordinator 2024-2025 Job Description

Apply Here

Overview

The Generations of Pride Coordinator is employed with LGBTQ+ Western with an opportunity for employment through the end of the academic year and even to graduation. We encourage our staff to be employed with LGBTQ+ Western until they find a new position or graduate, so will offer staff to return each year so long as departmental needs are met. This is a grant funded or work study funded role, so rehire for 2025-2026 is dependent on funding availability. Work study students may need to go through a different reapplication process. We are looking to hire 1-2 coordinators for this position.

Generations of Pride is LGBTQ+ Western’s collaborative program with the Bellingham Queer Collective and Bellingham/Whatcom PFLAG, inspired by research from the WWU ListenLab. These are monthly gatherings of LGBTQ+ adults to connect across generations and other identities, similar and different. From Trivia Night to Civic Engagement, we have a variety of activities. For July 2024-June 2025, we have grant funding to create this position, support transportation, and provide catered meals at all the primary events.
