University Residences provides Pride Housing for students who are particularly seeking an LGBTQ+ affirming and gender-inclusive living experience. The goals of Pride Housing are to:
- Build a caring and connected community among residents in Pride Housing;
- Provide students with opportunities for learning about development of their own multidimensional personal and social identities, and;
- Connect residents with resources across campus that promote academic success and personal wellness.
In addition to the Pride Housing community, University Residences offers the option of room assignments that are not based on gender. This option is called Gender Neutral Housing. Gender neutral room options are possible in any residence hall.
