While practicing physical distancing to protect ourselves and the public health, social connection is also important for well-being.
Several of Western’s fabulous LGBTQ+ student clubs provide ways to connect with other LGBTQ+ students electronically. Check it out and get connected! This list will be updated.
QTPOC has a Facebook page and a private Facebook group, as well as Instagram (@qtpoc_wwu). To be added to the private Facebook, send a message through Instagram or email club advisor Moya Lojewski (Moya.Lojewski@wwu.edu).
Queer Christian Club has a Facebook page and Instagram. For Spring 2020, they’ve also set up a Private Facebook group, “WWU Queer Christian Club Spring 2020.” Students can request to join through Facebook, or by emailing email@example.com with their Facebook name.
Queer Eco Justice Club has a Discord server, an Instagram page, and a Canvas page with QEJ resources. The club also plans to hold weekly chats via Zoom. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
Out in Science has a Facebook page. OIS also has a private Facebook group and Discord server. For access to these, sign up for the email list here; emails sent to the list have links to the Facebook group and Discord, or you can request access directly in the comments section of the sign-up form.
T.A.G. Team for trans and ally students provides online connection via a private Facebook group, Instagram, and Discord server. To request connection with any of these private communities, email email@example.com.
